Main Window

displays video, map, elevation chart, trackpoint table, and document contents.

• Add Trackpoint Button adds a trackpoint at the location on the map at the time specified in video
• Delete Trackpoints Button deletes the selected trackpoints
• Elevation Button Adjusts elevations and gradients
• Elevation Chart shows route elevation and slope gradient. Click or ⇧-click to select trackpoints.
• Export Button displays a menu of available export actions
• Help Button opens this tutorial.
• Inferred Trackpoints Control inferred trackpoints are visible — click to hide them
• Information Option Control shows three classes of available information. Click the one you want to see.
• Information View shows the document change history, checks for potential problems, and current project status.
• Map Interval Control shows applied speed changes, filters, and titles. Click to edit.
• Map Type Control switches between traffic and satellite views.
• Remove Audio Button deletes audio tracks
• Route Interpolation Button interpolates a route between two selected points
• Route Map displays your route.
• Selected Video Frames shows the first, middle, and last frames of the selection.
• Selection Range Slider controls selected video and trackpoints. Slide, click or ⇧-click to change the selection. Use the buttons at each end to adjust the ends of the range by one second at a time.
• Speed Adjustment Button opens an editor to apply speed adjustments to video and GPX simultaneously.
• Synchronize Button aligns the video and trackpoints, optionally trimming durations.
• Tick Backward Button moves the selection one second backward.
• Tick Forward Button moves the selection one second backward.
• Titles Button opens an editor to add text to the video for a selected segment
• Toolbar Display Button chooses the full toolbar ribbon with all buttons visible, or the compact menu-based ribbon
• Trackpoint Edit Button Edits the selected trackpoints
• Trackpoint Table lists the GPS trackpoints in order. Click a row to select the point, ⇧-click to select a range. Arrow keys work too.
• Trim From Start Button trims from the start of the video until the first selected trackpoint
• Trim Selection Button trims selected trackpoints and video
• Trim Until End Button trims from the last selected trackpoint until the end of the video
• Video Filter Button opens an editor to apply image filters to the selected video to compensate for shadows, glare, etc.
• Video Interval Control shows applied speed changes, filters, and titles. Click to edit.
• Video Player plays the imported and merged video files.
• Video Workspace contains the video player and selection controls.
• Zoom In Button zooms in as close as possible on the selected trackpoint.
• Zoom Out Button zooms out to view the entire route.

Synchronize Panel

synchronizes the video and the GPS track using a single matching moment.

• Align Button applies the computed shift so the video lines up with the GPS track.
• Cancel Button dismisses this sheet without changing the video-GPS alignment.
• Instructions show how to register the video against the GPS track: match a video frame to a trackpoint, then align.
• Map / Satellite Control switches the map between standard and satellite imagery.
• Route Map displays the GPS track; the selected trackpoint is marked with a pin. Shift-click the map to jump to the nearest trackpoint.
• Summary shows how far the video will shift for the chosen pair, and whether it then overlaps the GPS track.
• Trackpoint Table selects the trackpoint that matches the current video frame.
• Trim Overlap after aligning, trim the video and track down to the range they share.
• Video Player scrubs the video to a moment you can pinpoint on the map.

Trim Panel

trims the selected video and trackpoints.

• Cancel Button closes the panel without making any changes.
• Clip Summary describes your selected range.
• Elevation Chart displays the elevation along the route and your selection.
• Preview Button plays a preview of what your video will look like after the selection is deleted.
• Range Slider selects the time range in the video and trackpoint list which will be deleted.
• Selected Range Label shows the duration of the selected video and trackpoints.
• Trim Button removes the selected video and trackpoints from your project.
• Video Frame Preview displays the first, middle, and last video frame selected.

Title Panel

inserts and formats text into segments of the video.

• Add Button adds a new title to the list.
• Apply Button saves any changes you made and quits this panel.
• Cancel button discards the changes you made and quits this panel.
• Delete Button deletes the selected title.
• Font Controls set the font family, style, size and color that will be applied.
• Frame Preview shows the first, middle, and last video frame to which the title will be applied.
• Preview button opens a window that plays a preview of the selected title.
• Range Slider selects the time range in the video to which the selected title will be applied. Slide, click or ⇧-click to change the selection. Use the buttons at each end to adjust the ends of the range by one second at a time.
• Subtitle shows the subtitle that will be applied. Click to edit.
• Table View lists the titles you have applied to the video.
• Text Placement Control positions the title text in the video frame. Click to select the desired position.
• Text Placement Offset Control sets how far from the edge of the video frame the titles will appear.
• Title shows the title that will be applied. Click to edit.
• Title Range Label shows the start, finish and length of the video segment to which the title will be applied.

Filter Panel

defines and applies filters to segments of the video.

• Add Button adds a new filter to the list.
• Apply button applies the changes you made and quits this panel
• Cancel button discards the changes you made and quits this panel.
• Color Temperature Slider adjusts the color temperature of the applied filter.
• Color Tint Slider adjusts the tint of the applied filter.
• Delete Button deletes the selected filter.
• Gamma Slider adjusts the gamma (mid-tone lift) of the applied filter.
• Highlight Protection Slider adjusts the highlight protection of the applied filter.
• Original Frames shows the first, middle, and last video frames to which the filter will be applied.
• Preview button opens a window that plays a preview of the applied filter.
• Preview Frames shows the effect of the applied filter on the first, middle, and last video frame selected.
• Range Label shows the start, finish and length of the video segment to which the filter will be applied.
• Range Slider selects the time range in the video to which the selected filter will be applied. Slide, click or ⇧-click to change the selection. Use the buttons at each end to adjust the ends of the range by one second at a time.
• Shadow Lift Slider adjusts the shadow lift of the applied filter.
• Table View lists the filters you have applied to the video.

Autoroute Panel

constructs a route using Apple Maps and online services between user selected trackpoints

• Apply Button inserts the autorouted trackpoints into your route.
• Autoroute Type Control chooses between Bicycle, Automobile, Walking or Any routing using Apple Maps.
• Cancel Button closes this panel without making any changes.
• Elevation Chart show the elevation and gradients of the route, with selection.`
• Route Map shows the existing route, the selected segment, and the expected interpolation.
• Summary Label describes the trackpoints you have selected for automatic routing.
• Time Range shows the video and trackpoint time interval you have selected.

Speed Panel

raises or lowers video and trackpoint speeds for selected segments.

• Add Button adds a new speed adjustment to the list.
• Apply/Confirm Changes button saves any changes you made and quits this panel
• Cancel button discards the changes you made and quits this panel.
• Delete Button deletes the selected speed adjustment.
• Direction Control sets whether the speed will be adjusted up or down.
• Elevation Chart shows how your route changes elevation. Colors signal the gradient of the slope. Click to select a trackpoint, ⇧-click to select a range.
• Factor Control sets the factor for speed adjustment. 2x down slows 120 fps video to 60 fps video, adjusting trackpoint times to match.
• Frame Preview shows the first, middle, and last video frames to which the speed adjustment will be applied.
• Range Label shows the start, finish and length of the video segment to which the speed adjustment will be applied.
• Table View lists the speed adjustments you have applied.

Library Window

displays all the projects you have created, across devices and volume.

• Library Summary displays the total number of your projects, source video storage used, and distance covered.
• Machine Popup controls the devices from which you are displaying GPX-V projects in the Project Table.
• Notes Label shows additional information as needed.
• Open Button opens the selected project. You can also double-click the project in the table.
• Project Table displays projects and their associated data items.
• Refresh Button updates the list of projects.
• Scan Button searches for projects in the folder you select.
• Volume Popup controls the volumes from which you are displaying GPX-V projects in the Project Table.

GPX-V Menus
